Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where is the studio located?
Tom Rufer Photography, Neugutstrasse 88, CH-8600 Dübendorf.
Lots of free parking within the Jumbo building. Take the elevator to the fourth
floor and to your left, walk down the corridor to find the studio.

Studio is climate controlled – hot summer days are still cool and possible for a
photoshoot. Cooled bottled water and fizzy drinks are available.

Is an online gallery included?
Yes! The online gallery allows you to conveniently select your color-corrected
images for retouch (3-5 business days).

Do I need to do my own makeup (women)?
Yes, you are responsible for your own makeup. However, you are welcome to
bring a professional makeup artist if you prefer.

Can I bring a friend to my shoot?
Of course, you can bring a friend or family member if you would like moral
support.

How Do I prepare for my looks?
I leave that up to the client. Once you arrive at the studio, we look at your options
for each look and decide which ones fit for which background etc. It is best to
bring a variety of clothing options, and ensure clothing is ironed and clean.
Consider layering clothing (e.g., a jacket over a shirt etc.) as this can add depth
and versatility to your looks.

If you want to wear glasses, we’ll have to see how they reflect the light in the photo (don’t worry, harsh reflection usually can be removed in photoshop). If you have access to frames without glass, that would be more convenient.

How long does a shoot take?
Shoot length depends on the number of looks you’re shooting. Generally, the
first look takes around 45 minutes – that includes getting to know each other,
prepping etc. Subsequent looks take far less time. On average a five-look shoot
takes around two hours.

Will I get my entire session?
Yes. I color correct and reframe the images. All the blinky/blurry photos are
deleted. You can download the images you like from your online gallery. They are
in a decent resolution for social media. If you want them all in higher resolution,
just ask for them and I will provide you a download link.

What payment methods do you accept?
I accept Twint, bank transfers, and cash.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to postpone your shoot.
